This episode brings all the feels. You have a very emotional Chim after Maddie just disappeared. This was powerfully written and powerfully performed. It really shows how good of an actor Kenneth Choi is. Then we have the aftermath of the events that happened to Athena and her son. She finally takes a moment to deal with the events that took place in the last couple episodes. Yet still worries about the impacts the events have on her son. Next up on the rollercoaster of emotion is a truck crash through a homecoming parade. The outcome has devastating consequences. Though you see what is coming a mile away, it still has some big emotions around it. Maybe a bit more for me as I live about 2 hours from where an SUV ran through a Christmas parade and the effects that event has had are widespread. Finally, in an attempt to lighten the mood, May has to deal with a legend in the field of 911 call centers. A big personality that really looks down upon the May’s of the world. This gets under May’s skin a bit. I get why this story is in here to break up all the strong emotions this episode has. I will be curious how this goes, since it seems like this will be an ongoing story for a bit.
Overall, if this episode does not get to you emotionally, I am not sure anything will. It has a lot of emotion around all the stories, and none of them are cheap when it comes to pulling at your emotions.
